1/15/2010 – Your Five Year Plan and Building Condition Survey

It is that time again! As 2010 quickly approaches, we would like to remind our K-12 colleagues that NYSED will require that all districts complete a Building Condition Survey and update their Five Year Capital Facilities Plan next year. The Five Year Plan is an important tool utilized by Districts to properly manage their capital needs.

Through the use of EXCEL aid over the last few years, Districts have been able to address some of their facilities upgrades. Although EXCEL aid has been helpful, Districts continue to be faced with balancing their capital needs with available funding.
