12/1/2009 – SUNY Potsdam Design Recognized by AS&U
SUNY Potsdam's Pratt Commons was recognized for Outstanding Design by American School and University in the 2009 category of Specialized Facility.
SUNY Potsdam identified a need to upgrade an existing dining area that was outdated and underutilized; additionally there was a need to address the lack of amenities for commuting students on campus. As the design evolved, it became evident that Pratt Commons could play a more significant role on the campus. Located adjacent to the primary connection between the commuter entrance and the academic quad, it became the Main Entry to the Campus.
